Interior Design now is not well known, but in the future, it will be. Not everyone knows it yet, but Interior Design is a priority. It is a need that needs to be known. Interior design is an element that helps people in their everyday life. What's more important than that? Not only is the profession not well known, but the pursuers of the profession aren't considered either. We're just as important as architects and doctors. Why do they get all the spot light?
Soon, we will get our fame too. Interior design is becoming more noticed and valued. Little by little. But eventually, when people understand, we will be seen everywhere. I think the field is becoming larger and more dominant than others. I just hope it happens before I'm gone.
I would love to see the day when everyone knows what I am working to become; Interior Designer.
I was always good at drawing, learning new things, and making creations of my own. I soon realized that I would be a designer. A designer of what? I didn't know that yet. But here I am; on my way to being an Interior Designer. This field uses all of the talents I had before I started and all of the talents I learned after. This profession requires learning new things constantly and always having new ideas. Which I'm full of. What's better than using you're own ideas to and talents to design something that's not only amazing, but important. Something that will be seen, used, and admired day after day for a very long time.
Aside from the thousands of codes, regulations, and rules that go into every project, Interior Design perfect for me.

TV is a lie
We have been having conversation about interior designers and the burdens that reality decorating shows place on clients' expectations, and clients idea of the amount of money that it takes to design a house. There are no shows on television that clearly demonstrate what an Interior Designer does. I don't blame them for not having one; no one would want to watch that hard, boring parts of out job. However, I do blame them for the false presentations they show viewers. These unrealistic shows are putting ideas in our clients' heads that just aren't possible. We cannot make a new, redesigned home overnight. Nonetheless make it within their budget.
Not only are clients being fooled, but us interior designers are being degraded. We are being compared to these shows that make what we do look easy and unimportant. Realistically, we are more than that; we are important, we are needed, and we work hard. What we do doesn't happen in the blink of an eye- we barely get the chance to blink. We don't make a room pretty- we make a room.
